Upon its 100th year anniversary, the Gray Line has welcomed a new, leading Vietnam’s DMC into the team as a master licensee, operated throughout the country and on Halong Bay in the end of 2013.
Different from the traditions of bus excursions and sightseeing tours of the corporation, the Gray Line Halong has set sails for the overnight junk on the sea, with various size from 1 to 14 deluxe cabins. Each cruise featured by a unique kind of activities, inclusive of original sea routes, visits to fishing villages or Pearl farms, and spontaneously friendly meetings with the local communities.

Sustainability is vital, especially at a World’s Natural Heritage - with rocketing growth like Halong, so what Gray Line Halong crew have contributed to the local environmental efforts can be named very specifically.
First and foremost, the crews are either raising AWARENESS of the members, their families and the community by taking participation in the World Environment Day, Biodiversity Day, in campaigns to assisting local fishermen, or APPLYING latest equipment to separate oily waste before discharging sewage into the sea. The system has been installed since 2013 before the very first cruise of Gray Line completed.
Since 2014, Gray Line has participated in various training sessions for new generations of tour guides about the need of maintaining the environment & progressive Eco-awareness utmost. Many has been our full time staff until nowadays.
In December 2015, Gray Line had participated in the 2nd professional conference of “The Halong Bay - Cat Ba Alliance Ideas” held by International Union for Conservation of Nature. Following the post-conference memorandum, Gray Line has committed with the rules of the Council of Global Sustainable Tourism and joined their campaigns to reduce water pollution from all cruises.
In early 2018, Gray Line Cruise, one of the three cruise teams as chosen by the local authorities - Halong City People’s Committee and Chodai Co, Ltd. has been designated as initial cruises to promote Bio Toilet Technology for marine ecosystem conservation. It is such a big honor and responsibility to work together for a better regional ecology.
